EXETER COMIC EXPO

It's that time of year again where the masses go bonkers and travel about the country united in their love of all things COMICS!

Yes, it is the start of the comic convention season and this year I'm kicking off mine with an appearance at one of my favourite expos, Exeter. Just on a side note, is it just me or is it odd that all of the comic expos and cons are jammed in over a really short space of time at the start of the year and not spaced out throughout?

Anyway...

Exeter Comic Expo is in association with Animated Exeter and is on Sunday 19th of February – a week today!

The expo is taking place in the Rougemont Thistle Hotel and is now officially the largest comic expo  to take place in Exeter.

The Special Guests include:

JOCK, LEE GARBETT and HENRY FLINT

You can also get to meet SHAKY KANE, DOM REARDON, LEE O'CONNOR, PAUL GRIST,  DAVID SMITH, ME, NATE PHEONIX, LEO HARTAS and HUY TRUONG.

Not only that there are a head spinning load of 'press' and traders there, FALLEN ANGEL MEDIA, CORVUS PRESS, TABELLA PUBLISHING, DEANO ROBOTIC, DON'T LOOK NOW COMICS, KROMATRON COMICS, SPACE BABE 113, TRADERS, OMG COMICS, KRACKERS GAME STORE, PSICOLLECTABLES, THE COMIC MAN, FUTURES MARKET, MOVING PICTURES, KAOTICHANDBAG, KEEP IT SECRET and loads more.

The doors open at 11am  and shut at 4pm, entry is only £3! And you get a FREE OMG GOODIE BAG !

What more could you want?

A commissioned painting by me maybe?

No problem!

This year I'm trying something new as I attend and exhibit at expos and conventions, and that is offering a limited amount of bargain priced fully painted commissioned art. So if you want something like this to hang on your wall for a bargain price, read on:

In theory this is how it is going to work, although it could change a little on the day. I will offer a limited amount of 'slots' for commissions that you can only sign up for at the convention. You then tell me what you want, I give you a price (50% or less than I would normally charge for example) and an expected completion time, you pay an up front deposit and give me some contact details. Then, a few days or a week later when the art is finished you'll get sent a sample, pay the rest of the cost via PayPal, and then I will send you the final art either as a digital file via email or or printed via the postal service.

That's simply it. I thought it would be something a little different than just offering sketches - every one seems to be doing sketches, even the writers. Besides, my skills are with digital art, and so for a few pennies more why not have a totally cool painting instaed of a scruffy sketch on a bit of old tatty paper.

More on this awesome offer and Exeter Comic Expo in the week. However, if you can't wait and you want more info on Exeter Comic Expo, here is a link to the site: COMICS!
