...Only a few days to go!

That came around fast, it only feels like five minutes since last one back in November almost a year ago!

BristolCon is one of my favourite conventions that I attend and exhibit at, it has such a great vibe you can't help but have a brilliant time and I'm really excited about this years.

What is BristolCon you may ask?

Well, I've borrowed this from the About tab from the BristolCon website (please visit the site here to find out loads more):

- BristolCon is a one-day convention organized by the Bristol Fantasy & SF Society, taking place on October 22nd, 2011. It is our third event, and we growing steadily. In 2009 we did an afternoon. For 2010 we did a whole day and almost tripled our attendance. In the future we hope to grow to a full weekend convention.

Guests this year include writers Juliet E McKenna and Justina Robson, artist Jim Burns, and Keith Blount, the creator of the popular ‘Scrivener’ writing software. Also attending will be authors Alastair Reynolds, John Meaney and Stephanie Burgis, TV and comics writer Paul Cornell, and local authors Gareth L. Powell and Colin Harvey. Our art show will feature work by Jim Burns, as well as local artist Andy Bigwood, Kirk Stacey and Simon Breeze.

Books, comics and merchandise will be available in the dealers’ room and authors will be available for book signings. There will also be a pub quiz and live music in the evening. -

I will be posting more about my plans for the event throughout the week and if all goes to plan a review and some photos at some point shortly after. So far though I'll be taking part in one of the panels, displaying my work along with the other artists, doing some sketching, meeting some old friends and trying not to act to much like a fanboy around the guests!

You'll find me throughout the day about the place, but mostly hanging about near the art room next to this less than conspicuous poster:

See you there!
